James E. Borst graduated from West Liberty State College in 1971 with a BA in Business Education and has been a licensed insurance agent since 1977. He began working as a producer for Erie Insurance in February 1977 at the R. E. Curtin Insurance Agency. In 1985, he purchased the R. E. Curtin Insurance Agency with partner David Calvert and became Borst Calvert & Assoc., Inc. In 1990 the partnership purchased the Andrew Hird Insurance Agency in Ridgway and opened up another office in Ridgway. In 1994, the partnership dissolved and he became James E. Borst & Assoc., Inc. with offices in both Sheffield and Ridgway. Today, James E. Borst & Associates is located in Sheffield, Pennsylvania and helps their clients with all of their home insurance, auto/car insurance, business/commercial insurance, and life insurance needs.
